BioPlexus Medical Grade Silicone Block is a flexible silicone elastomer material designed for implant or to reconstruct or augment cartilaginous tissue. Carving of blocks can be performed by surgeons. Blocks are carved to produce unique shapes used in various surgical applications.

SILICONE DUROMETER (HARDNESS):

Durometer is the international standard for measuring the hardness of rubber, plastic, silicone and other non-metallic materials. These materials are rated on the Shore A Durometer scale. All BioPlexus product hardness ratings have a tolerance of + or – 5 points.

BioPlexus Silicone Blocks are available in 10, 20, 30, and 50 Durometer. Block durometer differences are noticeable and are often important to the application.

Below are some examples of common materials with various Shore A durometer readings:
10 Durometer – Chewing Gum
20 Durometer – Rubber Band
30 Durometer – Pencil Eraser
50 Durometer – Tire Tread

BioPlexus shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential loss, damage or expenses directly or indirectly arising from use of its products. This warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties not expressly set forth herein, whether express or implied by operation of law, or otherwise, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchant-ability or fitness for use.
